What We Do
The Willow Community is a nonprofit arts organization operating out of Rodman Hall Art Centre in St. Catharines, Ontario. We provide a dynamic, safe, and creative community for individuals with lived experience of mental health and/or addictions in the Niagara region. Our driving forces are:
- To establish and operate an arts organization for the purpose of integrating people who receive mental health and addiction services with professionals in the Ontario arts community.
- To promote, support, encourage, and train those who receive mental health and addiction services by providing artistic opportunities for those persons to channel their creative energy, in a productive manner, in a working arts environment.
- To increase the public’s’ awareness of mental health by emphasizing through various artistic forums how the creative process flourishes within many persons receiving mental health and addiction services
- To establish and promote relations between The Willow Community Support Services and other Ontario arts organization in order to enhance vocational and employment opportunities for people who receive mental health and addiction services.
